Eliza Hamilton

Regency style dress as based on the stage costume worn in the Broadway musical Hamilton. This is a slightly modernized version of the actual historical dress, and can be worn with and without a period corset. The dress closes in the back with a zipper.

The dress is made of a baby blue cotton with an off-white dotted lace overlay. On the bodice, the lace has been gathered for a smocked effect. At the bottom of the skirt, the lace has been folded over multiple times to diminish the sheerness of the fabric. As a contrast, the sleeves are made of white linen and dotted lace and feature decorative trims. The dress is finished with piping around the top of the bodice and the bottom of the sleeves. The waist seam is hidden by a turquoise ribbon.
