Elizabeth Swann

Pirate outfit with a shift / underdress and overgown, based on the costume as worn in Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. The shift is made of a cream coloured linen with a woven floral print. On the sleeves and front of the shift are a total of 92 handstitched eyelets for decorative lacing. For both dressing and wearing ease the shift closes in the back with a blind zipper.

The overgown is made of plum coloured silk dupioni and is fully lined. The bodice is boned and lined in black cotton. There are five different types of lace featured in the whole dress, including antique black floral lace on the facing of the bodice. The sleeves and the bodice are decorated with golden trim and seven decorative buttons and frogs. Lush and voluminous sleeves further amplify the pirate look. The silk skirt is pulled back to reveal the black underskirt. While the front edges of the black skirt are decorated with a black trim, the opening of the plum skirt are finished with black lace and a golden trim. The plum skirt also features a small train.

This has been a dream, since I was eight years old. Not wanting to go through the absolute anxiety of making it myself, I decided to commission it. And @daeriscosplay made my childhood dreams come true ❤️
